A perfect add-on to the Devon hen house, the Devon run allows you to give your chickens a safe and secure area to freely stretch their legs.

This hen run is made from the same high quality wood that we use in all our coops. At just over 140 cm in length and 83m wide the run gives your hens over 11.5 square feet of space. It can be permanently attached to the hen house using the screws provided or simply pushed up close against your coop.

A large opening door allows you access inside, and it can be securely closed with the two handy bolts. At around 7kgs the hen run is light enough to lift on your own, yet strong enough to withstand regular moving.

It also comes with a safety board which is perfect if you are keeping chicks as it prevents them from escaping under the raised hen house. The safety board also ensures that nothing gains access to the run and enclosed area from underneath the hen house, so your hens and their feed should be perfectly safe at all times.

Maintenance:

Our wooden coops are treated with an animal friendly base coat of wood preservative. This is only a base coat and will last up to three months after purchase. As with all outdoor wooden structures we strongly recommend that you treat your coop with a high quality varnish or wood preservative as soon as possible and that you re-treat your hen house at least once a year (preferably before the winter season) to maintain the applied preservative and water repellent properties.
