We found it well packed and my husband who assembled it for me said it was extremely easy to put together and thought the design was exceptional and well thought out. I also found the two leaflets you sent by e.mail very helpful, especially the one on the most popular chickens, which helped me make my choice and the one on health will I am sure stand me in good stead for the future in keeping my chickens healthy. My Kent coop arrived this afternoon and I would just like to say thank you for your prompt and efficient service, and it took me just 40 minutes to put it together. I have bought it for 2 ducks the only hard bit will be trying to get them to go in it!!

It was beautifully made and my husband put it together in no time without the usual grumbling that usually ensues having to put together a "flat pack" item!! Despite there being other web-sites (and even local farm shops up here in Fife) selling chicken coops, I chose to shop with you because your chicken coop information pages were so comprehensive. I appreciated the precise measurements (sq metres for the run and house separately, etc.) and the honest appraisal of the number of hens that could be accommodated in the coops, including separate quotes for larger and smaller varieties. I also found it very reassuring that you mentioned the number of coops on stock and that date that orders would be despatched on the information page - it was an extremely professional front-of-house that made me feel very confident about buying from you.

The delivery went without a hitch. I particularly appreciated being required to submit the additional delivery information, something I would have wanted to do anyway, given the remote location of our house. Your reminder to check for damage was also very reassuring. Throughout the delivery process I felt that you were on my side, which makes a change from other companies who don't care too much about you once they have your money and have dispatched your order.

The additional pdfs were a nice touch. I particularly appreciated your recommendation of a product to weather-protect the coop. I couldn't get the product you recommended, but knowing the sort of thing I was after helped me pick out something that should do the trick.

I put together the coop without too many problems yesterday. There were a couple of dents in the woodwork that are only superficial and happen with any flat-pack product, so I can't complain about the condition it arrived in. The guide-holes for the side-hinges of the Kent coop were a little off the desired location. This meant that when I screwed the hinged roof in and closed it, it rubbed on the back, wouldn't close properly, and put a fair amount of strain on the back hinges and the points where the side-hinges were screwed into the coop. I solved the problem by chiselling a bit of wood out of the frame of the coop (on each back-side, where the side-hinges were coming back and rubbing) but I imagine that if I hadn't noticed this or if I had tried to push the roof down with brute force, I might have caused some damage to the structure of the coop (e.g. by detaching the back hinges).

All things considered, I'm very pleased. You've been thoroughly overwhelming with the amount of support you have offered (in a good way) and this request for feedback is totally in-keeping with that. A great honest internet business that looks out for its customers - can't say fairer than that. I wish all internet businesses (and all local businesses for that matter) were like you!

I am very happy with the Kent coop. It was easy to put up but I think at least 2 people are needed to do it. Construction is fine and it put together just right. The only thing I could recommend, which would not be a massive expense for you would be larger pictures in the instructions esp. for those of us whose sight is beginning to deteriorate.

A friend recommended securing the underside of the nest boxes against foxes, as they can be pushed up. I have done this with wire netting, and i hope this will be enough. Otherwise, all fine, and I am looking forward to receiving my chickens at the weekend. The instructions re chicken keeping have been very useful. Thanks for your swift and efficient service.
