The Website was easy to use and the communication regarding ordering etc was fairly good although the coop wasn’t actually delivered on the day I was informed on the text alert and e-mail and so I cancelled an appointment to be in all day Thursday and it came on the Friday. I do realise however on the small print there is probably some sort of disclaimer. It was inconvenient but not earth shatteringly so.
To be honest I was very surprised by the size of the coop! I know the advert details the dimensions but they obviously didn’t register with me. I love the look of the coop and it suits our purpose well enough although very dinky!. The packaging wasn’t damaged on receipt but there were a few bashes on the woodwork when unpacked. My husband is fairly handy so was able to glue and nail the wee bits as necessary so wasn’t a problem but may have been a problem for ‘Joe Bloggs’.
The coop was easily put together and will serve it’s purpose well. Have had to add brackets to the bottom so we can peg it down though as it is fairly small and light and we live half way up a hill where it is extremely windy!
‘Nugget’ ‘Lizzie’ and ‘Boo’ love their house and we have had One egg so far.

We’ve had a totally trouble-free and stress-free experience buying from ChickenCoopsDirect. Firstly the website was excellent with detailed information and superb photos. Having placed an order for a coop that the website stated was not in stock but would be the following month, the communication prior to delivery was excellent; initially checking that we had understood that the coop wasn’t instantly available and checking that we were happy to wait, then reassurance that delivery would happen around the date stated on the web site, followed by very informative emails checking that the proposed delivery date was convenient, with prompt responses to my emails.
Delivery was on the day expected, at lunch time, with helpful delivery staff.
The coop was well packaged, each piece clearly identified on a plan and packets of screws clearly labelled.
Having seen detailed close-up photos of the coop (inside and out) on the website, the diagram instruction sheet proved to be adequate and building the coop was straightforward and took only about 30 mins – however without the excellent website photos the instructions may not be clear enough on their own.
We are thrilled with the coop and can’t wait for our girls to arrive. We’d allowed a couple of weeks before we are due to collect our chickens just in case of late delivery, missing pieces or any problems – however there were none whatsoever!
