To view our full range of Chicken Coops
Looks good in the garden, well made (mostly), and I’m sure the chooks will be happy. But I have to say that you’d have to be a member of the Red Arrows of henhouse assemblers to get this thing together in the 30 mins that ChickenCoopsDirect claim. It took me 3 hours, although there was admittedly a fair amount of head-scratching and disassembling time in that. The instructions, as so often with flatpacks, simply aren’t detailed enough. Why photographs can be used instead of pretty crummy drawings, I have no idea. For instance, there’s a right way and a wrong way to put the back on in step 1, which I didn’t discover until I assembled the egg box at a later stage. There’s no hint that you have to take the run door off to accommodate the ingenious internal hatch mechanism either. So, if I could, I’d give 3 stars for the instructions!

Thanks for your honest review! I appreciate you taking the time to write. We are now redoing all the instructions – starting with the Sussex. That’s the next project for us.
And we are taking your advice and using photos and we are working on a video that people will be able to watch – that talks them through the setup process.
Thanks for your input – I sincerely appreciate it!
Kind regards
Mike
