I’m more than happy to provide you with feedback on the Dorset chicken coop. I found the website easy to use and this made ordering very easy, the coop arrived 2 days after the order was placed which i think is an excellent service.
The coop was easy to assemble but we were not happy with the locking mechanism as on the 2nd day our girls were disturbed by a cat who pushed against the door and this caused the screws to become loose. We imediately purchased a stronger locking bolt and also 2 thumb locks for added security. I think the screws for the lock are much too short and the lock itself is very flimsy.
The design of the coop is very good although i do not think that 4 birds would fit comfortably, I think you advertise it for 3 – 4 birds. We have 3 girls and would not like to try and squeeze another in.The nest box is easy to access and we are now looking forward to the day when the hens start laying.
