Chicken Coops Derbyshire

Some things you may or may not have known about ‘keeping chickens’.

  • They require at least twice daily attention whatever the weather
  • Neighbours frequently don’t feel the same way you do about them
  • They need access to specialist food and clean water all day
  • They will be the first blamed if any one spots a rat within a mile
  • They do get ill and need treatment
  • Your partner/husband/kids etc. might not like a sick chicken in the house
  • Everytime Avian Flu gets a mention you will get funny looks and calls for culling them from certain people
    • Holidays are out of the question without someone to look after them in your absence
  • They can live for up to 10 years so they are a big commitment
  • They are highly addictive and should come with a warning
