We now have our coop inhabited – 2 hybrids – our hen man said that he recommends 1sq metre of running space per bird, which limits it to 2 but we are happy with that. The coop looks lovely and is a handsome addition to our garden. The tray makes cleaning upstairs very easy. Not quite so easy to clean downstairs to the left as access is limited.
It’s also very useful to be able to shut the birds in, either upstairs or downstairs, to clean the other half. We had a hiccup with delivery but that was down to the driver, and Maria was on the case and got it sorted very quickly. Faultless and friendly service.
All in all, we would definitely recommend ChickenCoops Direct although I am now wondering whether we should have got a bigger coop. I guess that’s a feature of being a first-timer …
