Our starter kit contains everything that you’ll need for the first few weeks of life with your chickens. Included in the kit:

Chickens Starter Kit

Save yourself the time and hassle of having to buy all those 'little extras' you are going to need for those first few weeks as a chicken owner.
Inside each Starter box you are going to find:
A 3 kg capacity feeder (worth £10.85) - Equipped with a unique anti-waste grid, which will stop your hens from scratching and spilling the feed onto the ground, this must-have heavy-duty plastic feeder will save you a fair amount of waste over the years.
A 3-litre drinker (worth £10.85) - The secure twist and lock base of this drinker which can be separated, making the filling and cleaning quick and easy, will provide your hens with a continuous supply of clean water for days on end.
A 2 x 1 kg bags of mixed chicken grit (worth £8.50) - An absolute necessity if you are keeping chickens as they need grit to be able to grind and digest their food. Our special formula also has the added benefit of containing oyster shell - which gives laying hens that extra calcium for eggshell production.
2 x 10-litre 'trial bags' of flax bedding (worth £6.60) – Not just any old stuff but 100% natural and absorbent than its nearest rival! Try it and we guarantee you will be a convert! A fantastic new bedding material that will help you create a warm, soft and dry coop for your hens.

Delivery Options
There are two delivery options available at checkout for large items (coops and runs).
Standard Delivery (£14.95): Orders are usually delivered within 4 to 7 working days.
Express Delivery (£17.95): Orders are usually delivered within 2 to 4 working days*.
Small Items (£4.95): Like accessories are usually delivered by the Royal Mail within 3 to 5 working days.
Important Points
* Deliveries are typically made Monday to Friday between 8.00am - 6.30pm.
* All Express Delivery orders placed after 12 pm Monday to Friday will be dispatched the next working day.
* Working days are: Monday to Friday (and don't include public holidays or weekends)
* You do not need to be in to accept delivery. The courier driver will leave your order near your front door or in a safe location.
* If you would like your order to be left in a specific location please contact us before your order is dispatched.
* Small items ordered separately like hutch covers and run covers are typically sent via Royal Mail.
Where can we deliver to?
Orders can be delivered anywhere in mainland England, Wales, and most areas in the lowlands of Scotland. If you live outside these areas we then, unfortunately, cannot deliver our products to you. This includes the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland (IM, GY, JE, BT)
Like most online companies we rely on (3rd party) courier companies to deliver all our orders around the country. As much as we would love to get our products in the hands of as many people as possible the cost of getting our coops to anyone who lives outside mainland England and Wales is prohibitive - sometimes more than the actual cost of the product!
Delivery to Scotland
We can deliver to most lowland areas in Scotland. These include the following postcodes: DD1-7 , DG , EH , FK1-6 , G , KA1-26 , KA29-30 , KY , ML , PA1-19 , PH1-2, TD
If you live outside these areas then unfortunately, we are unable to offer delivery due to the high extra charges levied by the courier companies we use. You are welcome to arrange your own courier to collect from us, or we can deliver the items to a courier up north for onward journey to you.
Delivery to the Isle of Wight
The courier company that we use can deliver to the Isle of Wight. However, there is a delivery surcharge of £30 per order.

“I am delighted with my Sussex chicken coop. This is the second one I have ordered from you. I ordered it on Sunday night and it arrived on Tuesday on the Isle of Wight! Brilliant. I noticed that you have fixed the one design defect I noticed from the first one I bought and that is making the ladder removable so it's easier to move to coop around. The coops look lovely in our orchard. The older one which we have had for a year still looks as good as the newer one and there is no sign of any deterioration to the wood or roof.
