Rating:
96% of 100
*A MUST HAVE DISINFECTANT:* Nettex's Viratec-P is our go-to cleaning product. A DEFRA approved disinfectant ideal for sanitising coops, feeders, drinkers and other poultry equipment.

Regularily cleaning your coop is something you have to do. And when you come to clean your coop you should be using a disinfectant which is suitable and safe for your chickens.

If we were to recommend one product to do this job it would be the DEFRA approved Viratec-P Disinfectant by Nettex

Viratec-P for cleaning and disinfecting your coop.

What's great about it and we love it so much is that it cleans and disinfectants areas in one application. It is bactericidal, fungicidal, sporicidal and virucidal all in one, so you only need this product when you clean.

What we also like about it is that it decomposes into a harmless by-product and is considered non-toxic, unlike many of the other chemical-based cleaning products.

Recommended Dose and Usage:

It a pink poweder that comes in a 500g tub and when mixed with water make up 50 litres of disinfectant, a lot more than some of the other options available. It also has a shelf life of up to 18 months , so this one little tub is really all you need for the next year.

It's effected against 65 strains of virus in over 19 viral families and hundreds of strains of bacteria and over 100 strains of fungi and kills bacteria in as little as 5 minutes.

Cleaning your coop is something you must do regularly and with Viratec-P is the one cleaning product we recommend and use.

Where can we deliver to?

Orders can be delivered anywhere in mainland England, Wales and most areas in the lowlands of Scotland. If you live outside these areas we then, unfortunately, cannot deliver our products to you. This includes the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland (IM , GY, JE, BT)

Like most online companies we rely on (3rd party) courier companies to deliver all our orders around the country. As much as we would love to get our products in the hands of as many people as possible the cost of getting our coops to anyone who lives outside mainland England and Wales is prohibitive - sometimes more than the actual cost of the product!

Delivery to Scotland

We can deliver to most lowland areas in Scotland. These include the following postcodes: DD , DG , EH , FK1-15 , G , KA1-26 , KA29-30 , KY , ML , PA1-19 , PH1-9 , TD

If you live outside these areas then unfortunately, we are unable to offer delivery due to the high extra charges levied by the courier companies we use. You are welcome to arrange your own courier to collect from us, or we can deliver the items to a courier up north for onward journey to you.

Delivery to the Isle of Wight

The courier company that we use can deliver to the Isle of Wight. However, there is a delivery surcharge of £15.95 per order.

*This is an estimate based on the majority of orders sent, however we cannot absolutely guarantee it.

Can I still eat my hen's eggs after using this product?

It's safe to keep eating the eggs. You do not have to do egg withdrawal after using this product.

Do I have to scrub it into the surface of the coop or can it just be sprayed on.

You can use a spray bottle of the diluted mix and simply spray those hard to reach places. Doing it first thing gives the coop time to air and dry out.

Can I use it for red mite?

Viratec-P is just a disinfectant. For red mite, the best product to use is Mite Powder.
